Three guys and a tent... That's how it all started. Three camping buddies talking over many evening campfires about how to build the better tent. One that wouldn't leak, but was roomy. One that offered some headroom to folks that stand 6' or taller; and, one that provided camping enthusiasts all the luxuries of home, when they were away from their own.

So, they confided the idea in their friend and Pamo Valley ranch foreman for the last 50 years, Spike. His reply to their mirage of an idea: "Stop talkin' bout it, and get to it, dammit!" And so they did, of course, as the fruits of their labor developed into a company known today as Paha Qué Wilderness, Inc., and the product of their dreams, The Pamo Valley.

As for what it means, you won't find it in any dictionary, and there have been debates amongst linguists about its derivation. But according to the legend behind the term, Paha Qué is the Southwest Indian version of "Aloha." We at Paha Qué take it to mean "happy trails".
